THIS TERM'S CORNERSTONE VALUE IS: Whai Tika / Duty: To do what is right; what a person ought to do.
This section is about encouraging young people to get involved in a physical activity which they enjoy. You are required to select an activity and follow it regularly for at least an hour per week in your leisure time. To complete this section you must show improvement of overall performance, acquire knowledge of rules and understand the safety requirements or hazards involved in your physical activity.
Getting involved in a physical activity may:
- start a lifelong interest in a new activity
- lead you to a healthier lifestyle
- introduce you to a new group of people
Physical activity does NOT mean you have to become an allstar athlete or join the first XV rugby team. You can choose any activity that suits your personal interests and ability.
